CSPD Welcomes UCLA Incoming Residents - 2004

Angela Chow, D.D.S., M.P.H.
Dr. Angela Chow was born in Taiwan and immigrated to the Bay Area when she was 14 years old. She received a B.S. in Biology from UCLA in 1996 and thereafter earned her master's degree in Public Health from Yale University. She then studied Dentistry at Columbia University and graduated with a D.D.S. degree in 2002. To enhance her clinical and patient management skills, she then treated many medically compromised patients as a G.P.R. resident at the Veterans Administration West Los Angeles Medical Center. For the past year, she practiced as an associate dentist in San Jose, California. She will complete the combined program in Pediatric Dentistry/Orthodontics in 2008.

Rajneesh Dail, D.D.S.
Dr. Rajneesh Dail was born and raised in Fresno, California. She graduated from UCLA in 1999 with a B.S. in Neuroscience. She then worked as a full time researcher at the Laboratory of Neuroimaging at UCLA. In 2004 received her D.D.S. degree from UCLA. Her husband, Dr. Sunderpal Dail, is an oral and maxillofacial prosthodontist in the UCLA School of Dentistry. Upon completion of her training in Pediatric Dentistry in 2006, Dr. Dail‚s future plans include private practice and teaching.

Mike M. Lee, D.D.S.
Dr. Mike Lee was born in South Korea and raised in Fullerton, California. He graduated from the University of California San Diego with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. After graduating from UCLA with a D.D.S. degree in 2002, he entered a G.P.R. program at Veteran Affairs in Sepulveda, California. Upon completion of his Pediatric Dentistry residency in 2006, Dr. Lee plans to practice and teach part time.

Corina Ramirez, D.D.S.
Dr. Corina Ramirez was born in Tempe, Arizona and raised in Long Beach, California. She married and had three children prior to attending the University of Southern California where she received a B.S. in Biology in 2000. She directly entered the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, graduating in 2004. Upon her completion of the Pediatric Dentistry residency program in 2006 her plans are to become involved with pediatric community outreach programs, private practice, and to teach part time.

Jessica Robertson, D.M.D.
Dr. Jessica Robertson was born and raised in Southern California. She received her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at Arizona State University. She then moved to Portland, Oregon. After working for Bank of America for five years, she worked as a research assistant in the Department of Dental Materials at Oregon Health Science University (OHSU). She completed her D.M.D training in 2004 at OHSU and will be working with her husband Kirk Robertson, D.M.D. in Flagstaff, Arizona upon completion of her training in 2006 in Pediatric Dentistry.

Joel Sayre, D.M.D.
Dr. Joel Sayre was born and raised in Missoula, Montana. He graduated from the University of Montana in 1996 with a B.S. degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. He went on to attend Oregon Health Sciences University, graduating in 2000 as a D.M.D. Dr. Sayre completed a General Practice residency in 2001 at the University of Minnesota and then worked as an associate in a private practice in Vancouver, Washington. He was married in July, 2002 and moved to Colorado with his wife. For the past two years he has worked for a non-profit organization on a mobile dental bus for children and then at a public health clinic in Grand Junction, Colorado. Upon completion of his Pediatric Dentistry residency at UCLA, Joel plans to practice in one of the Rocky Mountain states.

Jung Sun Yoon (Audrey), D.D.S.
Dr. Jung Yoon was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. She received her D.D.S. from Seoul National University, School of Dentistry in 2000. She worked as a sole proprietor in private practice for one year and decided to continued her studies in the United States. Within two years after fully integrating into the third year class of the UCLA School of Dentistry through the Professional Program for International Dentists, she completed her D.D.S. training in 2004 and is currently in the combined Pediatric Dentistry/Orthodontics residency program and will be finished in 2008. Dr. Yoon plans to practice and remain in academia as a part time faculty member.
