Course Description: This course is designed to be a primer on the physiology, pathophysiology, and pharmacology affecting children. It looks at asthma, hypoglycemia, bradycardia, hypotension/hypertension, infections, allergy, bleeding and syncope in children and their parents. The focus will be on how to recognize that a child may be at risk for one of these events, what questions to ask to get more information, and how to guide your therapeutic care so that the emergency is avoided if at all possible.
