Course Description:
Missing Phase I treatment can leave adolescents with persistent skeletal discrepancies, dental crowding, and
airway compromise that impact health and quality of life. This course focuses on orthodontic strategies for late-start patients, integrating skeletal expansion, vertical control, and jaw positioning to improve breathing and esthetics simultaneously. Dr. Audrey Yoon will review how to evaluate airway structure and function in adolescents, interpret CBCT and sleep study data, and apply growth modification protocols such as MARPE, mandibular advancement planning, and alternative expansion approaches. Case examples will illustrate how airway optimization can be achieved in Teens.
